Many great spiritual teachers and transformational leaders are writing about the Tao te ching so I thought I would share a verse.
verse 27
a good traveler has no fixed plans
and is not intent upon arriving
a good artist lets his intuition
lead him wherever it wants
a good scientist has freed himself of concepts
and keeps his mind open to what is
thus the master is available to all people
and doesn't reject anyone
he is ready to use all situations
and doesn't waste anything
this is called embodying the light
what is a good man but a bad man's teacher?
what is a bad man but a good man's job?
if you don't understand this, you will get lost
however intelligent you are
it is the great secret
This is a good description of not being attached to dogma and outcomes. For me, I believe that the lesson is that I should shed my pre-conceptions and prejudices and embrace what I encounter more widely than hitherto.
What a wonderfull thoughts to share,
it reminds me of what the poet Kahlil Gibran says:
The truthfully good people are those whom support all those
who are suposedly evil.
It is amazing what a treasuretrove of wisdom is bestowed upon mankind
time an time again, one could only wish we realise this wisdom
in our lives.
